What a Vision Board Represents<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

A vision board is not something I make with the intention of manifesting a dream existence without doing any work. I use it as more of a guide for the following year. In designer terms, a style guide. It\u2019s how I hope to see my hard work<\/strong> manifest and what I hope to accomplish. It\u2019s a reference tool to keep me on track throughout the year with meeting my goals.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Imagery that Resonates<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

I want to use found imagery that represents my wishes and dreams, but also use some of my own imagery that captures the memories I hope to make more of this year.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of course, we want to use imagery that depicts a bigger, bolder version of the life we hope to have one day – nothing wrong with that. I plan to use a photo of a house, maybe similar to one I hope to purchase, a home office that I will work in when my business takes off enough to quit my 9\u20135, etc. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But I also want to use imagery that captures the best memories and feelings from the previous year to remind me to slow down and savor those moments, like time with my boyfriend and loved ones, watching my new nephew grow, etc. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Don\u2019t get so caught up in the future dreams and wishes that you ignore what\u2019s already in your life. Make time for gratitude and appreciation, because when you learn to enjoy what you already have, that\u2019s when life is the sweetest. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Word of the Year<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

I have found that a word of the year is super helpful to reference. It\u2019s just a nice little reminder for a word, idea, or feeling you hope to embody or improve on throughout the year. Be sure it is relevant to you and where you are in your life right now. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a previous year, I chose \u201cBe Present\u201d and I did find that I actively worked to be more present with my loved ones and with myself that year. I took steps to break out of negative thought patterns and was intentional about bettering my physical and mental health. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year, I am focusing on growth. I am not exactly sure what this will look like, but I know I want to keep improving on the progress I have already made. I want to keep growing my brand into a sustainable business. Will that happen in 2024? I hope so. But even if it doesn\u2019t, I will have spent a year working towards my dreams, which is nothing to be discouraged about. I will continue learning, in order to grow. I am excited to see how this word will manifest this coming year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Focus Areas<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

I created a list of focus areas<\/strong> (different aspects in my life) that I can reference and ensure that I am consistently working towards. I can use it as a guide when setting goals or making plans.\u00a0These are all items I want to be extremely intentional about working towards and keep top-of-mind, where I will see them on a daily basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some areas I chose to include are: my brand\u200a\u2014\u200aPrints by Kaitlyn<\/em>, my website, online course, social media, my Etsy store, my mental health, nutrition, fitness, family, to name a few. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I kept this list relatively concise because all the items are large areas that are multi-faceted and can\u2019t all be addressed in one sitting. They just serve as a reference point for what I want to spend my time and energy on – my priorities and wishes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Importance of Visualizing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Being able to visualize how you want your life to look is important to evolving personally and professionally. If you have a vision for yourself, you can then create the steps it will take to get there. There are many courses of action, endless ways to reach the same outcomes. Plans will change along the way, your vision may even change with it. But as long as you have a vision, you have a compass that will help guide your steps. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
