Set goals, change your life. Setting goals, no matter how big or small, will transform your life. It helps you learn, grow, gain clarity, build confidence, and achieve your dreams.

HAVING A GOAL
Helps you have something to look forward to and work toward. If you’re not working toward something, you’re stagnant. Nothing changes if nothing changes. You’ve got to create motion and movement in your life. We do this by setting goals and taking action toward them!
There is no failing
When it comes to goals. A lot of people are scared of even setting goals because they are scared of not meeting them. This used to be me! Fear of failure is a HUGE hindrance to transformation. If you want to beat this fear, you’ve got to change your mindset around failure. There is no failure.
Let’s say you have a goal to lose 10 pounds. So you plan to workout 3 days a week for 2 months and then check your progress. After 2 months, you worked out more than 3 days a week, but only lost 8 pounds. THAT IS NOT A FAILURE. You met your movement goal, you likely improved your mental health, improved your physical health, got stronger, learned new exercises, and started drinking more water.
Just because the weight goal wasn’t met doesn’t mean you didn’t win! You may not meet every single goal that you set for yourself, but chances are you probably met lots of other goals along the way. The first goal – the weight number- was the catalyst that helped you take the steps to bettering yourself.
Find your catalyst
And chase it. What interests you? What skill do you want to learn? What passions do you have? How do you want to improve? Reflect on these questions. Once you answer them, you will have your starting point!
Momentum
Is your friend. To get momentum with your goals, you just have to start. I used to worry that I wasn’t starting in the right way or I didn’t have all the knowledge I needed yet. So I put off action to keep reading, or researching, or procrastinating. But there are always going to be a million different ways to reach the same destination. There isn’t a wrong way to start. Once you start, you’ll learn more. As you learn, you can course-correct your action plan. Chances are, the more you do, the more your overall plan may change. And that’s okay! Embrace it! Lean into it and just keep following the momentum.
